The complete Gatsby inspired series, featuring clothes I made out of newspaper and a floating art deco frame.
Reblogging because it’s actually topical. I really want to watch the Baz film, but I’m afraid that will just inspire me to make MORE newspaper clothing.
Miss Catwings and Me as Grace Jones for our Match Game event. Not shown is the vinyl record hat I made or the circus couture outfit I created for the evening. I also carried around a riding crop and whipped naughty boys. Grace would be proud.
The Chinese Takeout hat I made for the recent hat party. I didn’t want to use a real one because it would be too heavy, so I just made a box from scratch. I paired it with my vintage double-slit gold cheongsam.

I shot this for Cinco de Mayo, but forgot to post it here because I had to get orthodontic surgery. It was a hit on the facebook page tho.
This shot took me around 90 tries to get the dress movement just right.
Almost time to get ready to star in Match Game! If you’re in Honolulu, come down to the ARTS at Marks tonight @ 8pm to play with our celebrities. I’ll be Grace Jones and you’ll be on your knees.
The “9 to 5” series.
I had originally intended for this series to continue on longer, but traveling threw off my schedule. Perhaps I will pick up this series when more time allows. I find secretaries endearing because all my life my mom has been one.
From my new “9 to 5” series.
Reblogging because my makeup is the best it’s ever been.
“9 to 5”, a new series from the secretarial pool.
Oh, the things I post on Instagram. Follow me because it’s where I post progress shots and behind the scenes stuff like costume design and lighting setups.
@supercheyne is the name.
