Anonymous asked: I'm curious... I know you're writing a book, but other than that, do you make any money doing what you do?

Tricks for making better anything
Some of the hardest tricks I’ve had to learn are not photography or makeup related. In fact, I’m still learning them.
Try not to feel sorry for yourself.
Push yourself to sing even when no one wants to listen.
Only show your best work, you never know where it will wind up.
Defend your vision zealously.
Beauty is an illusion.
It’s ok to let some ideas die. New ones will form...

miscellaneousandsundry asked: My friend is really shy and didn't feel comfortable sending you a message, but we both think you are INCREDIBLE and just so talented. You're a really big inspiration of theirs, and I just wanted to let you know. We always get so excited when you post :)
adamrobinson3 asked: Hi! So, I do self-portraits, but not to the extremes you do. Which I love. Any chance I can drop in some work for a critique? Keep up the good work, your stuff is amazing.

It disturbs me how superconnected we all are, yet how out of touch we remain.
Years ago, to get in touch with your favorite musician, artist or photographer, you had to write them a letter. To learn about what their favorite food was or what they were planning on doing next, you needed to read interviews with them. You needed to seek them out in magazines and still there remained excitement...

thebeekearns asked: Okay, I have a question. Are you happy? I ask because currently, I am not. I just wonder how the states of other artists' minds affect their work. Does unhappiness make your art different? Or do you just push through the bad days?
